Britannia Wharf encompasses all that is meant by luxury living into one simple but elegant building. Constructed on a large expanse of greenery in the heart of Woking, Britannia Wharf is encapsulated by natural beauty; flanked by the gentle ripples of the canal and creating a scene of calm and pristine serenity in the heart of a bustling town.

Walker Mower's design team worked hard on the Britannia Wharf project, having been awarded the position of working drawings designer for the mechanical sub-contractor and our client, R.G. Evans. The design was unique in that the entire structure of the building was designed with timber frame, meaning extra care had to be taken to ensure that the mechanical services were distributed correctly and efficiently throughout the building without affecting the structure. Disciplines including the ventilation had to be meticulously designed to ensure as little disturbance to the frame as possible. The design team at Walker Mower liaised regularly with the client and ensured that all the relevant building regulations were followed throughout the entire design process.

Britannia Wharf overlooks the stunning wildlife corridor of the reclaimed Basingstoke Canal, which offers local and long-distance walking and cycling routes through swathes of beautiful open countryside. Britannia Wharf's grounds provide immediate access to the nearby heathland and woods of Horsell Common, which is ideal for walking and leisurely discovery.
